- They called my home phone.
- The caller asked for me by name.
- He then told me the name of the organization (a lobby group).
- He told me that there is a gun-control bill up for vote by the NM legislature and that my state senator is critical to the vote.
- He asked whether I think that all gun sales at gun shows should require a background check to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. (I am paraphrasing as close as I can remember what he said.)
- I answered, and expected him to ask another question, but instead he offered to connect me directly with the senator's office so that I could share my opinion.
