Statistics


I’ve been doing a lot of research lately and I found that one of the easiest places to find statistics is through the CDC website. I was researching some information about Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and was easily able to find statistics on this syndrome throughout the entire United States. After doing the research for my presentation, I found this website to be a very easy resource for the public to use (something we need more of). Many people have trouble finding data about certain topics, but I found that the CDC made it very easy for the public to see what is going on within society. Also, because the education levels within the U.S. are continuing to decrease, I found it helpful that the CDC made it very easy to understand the statistics they were presenting. Overall, I wish there were more websites that made their statistics more accessible, as well as easy to understand. This could help with the problem of people believing everything they see in research and on the media. You can see how easy the website is from the link below:
